Model INS

Compatible with all car top inspection fixtures

Elevator maintenance and repair often requires a technician to operate the controller from the top of the car. This requires an interface between the car top control box and the system controller. Some older elevators lack this feature.

Electrodyn’s Car Top Inspection provides an efficient and economical solution to adding external elevator control. The unit also allows a car to be moved upward from the bottom landing to allow pit access. Our experienced personnel will evaluate your particular system to prepare a quotation.

Next, our designers modify your existing drawings to reflect the revised controller logic. A regenerated print is returned together with a terminal-by-terminal checklist for ease of installation.

Key features
● Model INS utilizes redundant contact arrays to insure reliability.
● The device uses normally opened bottom contacts and a simple DPDT toggle switch.
● Required hall switches are standard DPDT ganged type.

Interface

When installing Model INS, interface relays are matched to the control voltage and isolated from logic circuits. Interface is accomplished through a series of parallel and series connections between the Unit and the host controller.
